The play dramatizes the evolution of Mohandas Gandhi to Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhiji sought many mentors to find a strategy to eradicate oppression and discrimination. Gandhiji was able to develop conviction for and commitment to Ahimsa due to a deep spiritual connection with his one and only spiritual mentor. The performance of Yugpurush – Mahatma Ke Mahatma (in Hindi) will be on Friday, July 21 @ 8:00 PM, at Chabot College, Hayward, CA.
The Cause: All proceeds go to construction of a new, 200-bed, multi specialty, Charity Hospital providing free humanitarian- and health-care to the poor and privileged tribal population in Gujarat. The old, 55-bed Hospital has already served 1 Million patients for free since 2004; demand for its services have out-stripped its capacity. Hospital and Healthcare video (7 mins.)
