Hello everyone,
I’ve some time on weekends and would like to explore starting a catering business which provides specialty Indian dishes which are not available in Indian restaurants here in the SF Bay area.  While we do see many new restaurants spring up here,  I find that some of the recipes and flavors which I have encountered while growing up are still not available.
I have a passion for cooking and many of these recipes have been handed down to me by Mom or relatives from India with an emphasis on food from Bangalore/Karnataka/Tamil Nadu/AP/Kerala/Maharashtra.
The dishes are prepared in small batches with a focus on nutritional value and cooked with the least amount of oil, salt or sugar without compromising the taste of the dish.
I’m thinking of starting with 1 dish per weekend and would be accepting orders for this Saturday Nov 2nd 2018.  Orders will be ready for pickup by 11:30 am from my home in Pleasanton.
Please order by Friday night 8:00 pm so I can plan accordingly

Since this job involves driving, you must have a clean driving record. The weekdays would be from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. (optional) and 2:30pm – 6:30pm (Mon – Fri). I am flexible with hours. Looking for someone to start on 10/9.

Ashrutam – The Unheard Voice is an Indian Dance-Theater production that honors and recognizes the contribution of Devadasis to Indian performing arts. Devadasis were a matriarchal community of women who were not only instrumental in cultivating and propagating arts through  the  generations,  but they were also fiercely independent  women who challenged the norms of the  patriarchal society. Ashrutam shares my interpretation of their voice and a narrative of their life.

Dear Parents,
My name is Rishvanth, a freshman at DVHS. Recently, I was introduced to a wonderful organization called PURE that strives to help underprivileged children through the power of education. As I was listening to members of the organization talk about their experiences, the problems they were describing for the children were very disheartening. Girls in India didn’t have proper bathroom supplies which caused them to miss school days. This resonated with me, because a simple, everyday aspect that many fortunate people overlook is a big hurdle for kids to overcome in other places of the world. After the meeting, I was determined to help in any way I could. So, I decided to do something I love that would aid the organization. Then I realized that I can use my 2 years of experience in teaching Geography to start a Geography Class whose proceeds will go straight to the charity. I will be giving weekly classes for one hour to elementary kids. That’s why I am requesting a donation of $10 a month. Together, we can make a difference in children’s lives and open a door to a safer and better path.
