  1.  Sorting, tagging, spotting, separating for laundry and dry-clean loads
  2. Pressing laundered shirts, bottoms, tops, and other garments as required.
  3. Load & operate machinery, ensuring proper weight of load.
  4. Reports any equipment not working properly to management.
  5. Coordinate with the management & driver/s for the delivery.
  6. Tagging, bagging, packing, racking laundered/ dry-cleaned clothes ready for customers
  7. Keeping the laundromat section, storage and dry-cleaning section clean.
  8. Greet customers and receive dirty linen from customers in front counter.
  9. Manage/reconcile cash register, POS purchases daily.
  10. Spotting, stain rubbing, pre-cleaning before putting in machines
  11. Notify management on the need to re-order supplies (soap etc.)

Pay : $12- $15 per hour depending on experience, and hours.
Hours: Part time and Full time; Flexible shifts between 7am to 7pm; Monday through Friday.

Veg and Halal Certified Burgers at Burgerim

Last week Burgerim opened At Rose Pavilion on Rosewood Dr, Pleasanton – just off the Santa Rita exit.
We were invited to try it out. The Burgerim concept is mainly centered around the use of 100% Halal meat (on their site, not all are like that, but the Pleasanton one is). We found the place shiny and new, as well as the fare!
So what we understood, the “gourmet” burgers are relatively small in size, ideally, come in a pack, and there is a variety of buns, sauces, and toppings. Easy to customize.
We tried the veggie and the falafel (chickpeas and fava beans) patties – and they were great. Best, they were not soy or rice! The side of circular cut fries with sauteed Jalapeno and cheese was out of the world. The Oreo milkshake was as good as it gets. We checked and were told that veggies are fried separately from meat. The cost of it all was particularly reasonable as well.
A very welcome addition to this area for all those who value Halal and I’d say even Vegetarian, but non-Indian fast food.

Hi! I am a UC Berkeley college student in my early 20s studying pre-med. I am currently taking a break. I am seeking a room in exchange for childcare/caregiving/cooking/housework/tutoring. I’m from near India and know how to cook rice/daal/sabji. I have tutored elementary to college level students for many years in my high school and library. I was in the top ten percent of caregivers in my area for babysitting in a babysitting website. I have taken care of various children ranging from newborns to school-aged. I can clean around the house, do laundry, etc. I don’t drive so I will be relying on public transportation. I don’t drink/smoke/do drugs. I am quiet, clean and organized. I am respectful. I do not eat or touch pork and beef so I cannot cook those two. I also do have an almost three year old daughter but she is quiet and well-behaved. She will be living with me. We are looking for a part time nanny for our 2 sons, age 2 & 4, as we work on transitioning the 2 yr old into full time preschool. We are looking for someone from Nov 19 – end of Dec. In November, the hours would be 12:15-6, and in December, the hours would be 2:45-6. The position would involve picking up the boys from their preschool (either in our car or walking, as the school is 15-20 min walk away) so a valid driver’s license is a must.
